...and I haven't done much with this site. Not because I forgot about it -- in fact, I've been working on it almost every day. But it's harder when you actually don't know much about coding. I wasn't happy with my layout, so I decided to use Zonelets, since it works well for blogging purposes. And then I spent weeks deciding on the right fonts and colors, and changed the whole layout twice. I'm pretty happy with the results, but I'm probably going to get tired of it in a month or two. When that finally happens, it's going to be much easier to do the changes I want, because I learned a few things about HTML in the past few weeks. I see it as a positive, because changing the layout constantly means that it'll be harder for me to forget the little I've (re)learned so far. Back in the early 2000s, you had to know a little HTML if you wanted to have a website. I only knew the basics (how to write posts using tags, adding line breaks, changing colors, fonts, and images), but in two decades I forgot basically everything.

When I learned of Neocities I expected to find more people close to my age, but so far I've only found a handful of people over 30, and maybe a couple over 40. Though I think it's great that younger people are discovering this side of the internet, I really like reading personal blogs, and I can't really relate to the experiences of people in their late teens or early 20s anymore. I guess there must be a lot of people my age on Neocities and I just need to keep looking. I've found some great sites, though, and I'm planning to add a links page very soon (or rather, as soon as possible).
